Replacement of Flywheel Gear used in Grundig tape recorders and boom boxes.

Replacement gears were made of Nylon (a durable material that lasts for a long time) using high-precision 3D print.

There are two variants of the gear – the first one has no thread, it is fixed to the shaft using a retaining ring. The second variant has a thread for fixing to the flywheel.

Gears were tested for correct operation.

The part is compatible with the following Grundig tape recorders and boom boxes:
PARTY CENTER 1000, RPC 1500, CF400, CR550, CR550A, CR560, CR580, CR585, CD585A, CR590.

Replacement gear was made using thermoplastic polyurethane (high precision 3D print) that is slightly flexible as the original material and durable.

The part is compatible with the following Grundig tape recorders:
MCF 500, MCF 600, CF 5500, CF 5500-2.

It might work also with other cassette players – just check your service manual.

Pinion and idler gear that acts in tape transport in Grundig MCF 100 and MCF 200 cassette players. The material used for original gears becomes fragile over time and gears often crack. Tape is not transported then.
